Alan Ratner
Managing Director
Alan Ratner is a managing director at Zelman, a Walker & Dunlop Company | Research and based in New York, New York. In this role, he leads the team responsible for producing research and financial models for publicly traded homebuilding and land development companies, thematic reports on the single-family for-sale market, and the firm’s proprietary homebuilding and land development surveys.
Prior to joining Zelman, Mr. Ratner served as an associate analyst at Credit Suisse, where he was a member of Ivy Zelman’s equity research team. The team was consistently recognized by Institutional Investor, Greenwich Associates, StarMine, and The Wall Street Journal for its housing industry research and analysis.
Mr. Ratner earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, is a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts, and holds Series 7, 24, 63, 86, and 87 securities licenses.
